Physiotherapy

The physiotherapists at Ascend are primary health care professionals that use a holistic approach to help improve the function of your body so you can get back to doing what you love! Through the use of education, manual therapy, modalities (ultrasound/laser/tape/dry needling) and exercise/clinical pilates, your physiotherapist will design a custom treatment plan to meet your needs whether you are recovering from an injury or want to prevent one. At Ascend, we only provide one-on-one appointments to ensure you get the care you need to get back to where you want to be!

IMS/Dry Needling

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a form of dry needling that involves inserting very fine single use acupuncture needles into trigger points or knots in muscles. This process stimulates a contract-relax response in the muscle, thereby releasing tension and pain and improving range of motion and even strength. All of our therapists who use this treatment technique have had specific training and certification and as part of your assessment, will determine if IMS is appropriate to treat your condition.
