Emily Adams, Registered Physiotherapist
Emily graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters of Physical Therapy degree, and has completed her Level 1 Orthopaedic Manual Therapy certification. Emily grew up on Vancouver Island and her love for sports such as running, skiing, and golf steered her towards a career in physiotherapy. She loves working with active people who want to improve their sport performance or help rehab an injury/pain during their activity.
Prior to her Physical Therapy degree, Emily completed a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at UBCO, where she played on the varsity golf team. She is passionate about working with golfers and improving their swing biomechanics to advance their golf game to the next level.
Emily has also taken her level 1 Pelvic Health course and offers women’s health/pelvic health assessments and treatments for pre and post-natal women. Emily has recently taken an interest in pediatric physio and loves working with babies and toddlers with developmental milestones. She also enjoys working with pre-teens and teenagers wanting to excel in their sport or help them work through an injury. She is very passionate about making physio fun for the peds population.
With her background in Kinesiology, Emily creates individualized exercise plans that fit her clients’ lifestyles. Encouraging movement, managing pain, and preventing injuries is what Emily is most passionate about as a physiotherapist. She enjoys watching clients meet their goals and reach their full potential.
Outside of the clinic, Emily lives in Squamish where she enjoys running, skiing, mountain biking, golfing, and being outdoors with friends.
